On Friday, May 2nd, CEW (Cosmetic Executive Women) announced the 2008 Beauty Award winners chosen from 600 products and 285 companies. I would love to be on that judging committee, wouldn't you?! CEW President Carlotta Jacobson appeared on the Today Show this morning, speaking about some of the winners. As usual with Today, the segment was rushed and they didn't get to the majority of the products, but here's the video anyway, and a link to all the 2008 Beauty Award Winners. I see CoverGirl LashBlast was their mass winner for eye product. Yet another reason for me to go buy it.
On May 1st, I wrote about the new DOVE Ultimately Visibly Smooth Wild Rose Anti-Perspiring/Deodorant (click here to read). Well, it's been almost 8 weeks since I started using it, and I'm happy to say that overall I'm really pleased with this new deodorant. It has made the hair softer and, surprisingly, I did notice that my underarms do look better and smoother. I've always had issues with that, because as someone who is pale but has dark hair, even when freshly shaven my underarms still didn't look quite hair-free (this was particularly angst-inspiring during my teenage years).
