I hardly ever paint my fingernails. Especially dark colors. Toenails, on the other hand, ur, foot, yes. Love the pedicures. Dark, light, bright, pastel - don't care what shade. But I cannot be bothered with getting my nails painted. I try to keep them neat and filed, but it seems like such a waste of my time to sit and pay for someone else to paint my nails when they just chip the next day! ARGHHHH! It makes me angry just thinking about it.
However...I was in ULTA the other day, and checked out their OPI display of new fall colors, and fingernails, look out! You are going to be painted in the near future, when the air turns cooler, and the leaves start to fall. I fell in love with OPI's nail color called You Don't Know Jacques! It is from their "La Collection de France" and this collection has many beautiful deep, rich colors perfect for fall, but You Don't Know Jacques! was my hands-down (ha-ha, get it?!) favorite. It is so different than any color I would normally consider putting on my short, stubby fingers (i.e. not pale pink). Plus, since I am not 14 and not Goth, I steer clear of the black and navy shades (works on many who are over 14, but not me). But this soft brown is so pretty - not edgy, like dark shades can be. On the OPI site, You Don't Know Jacques! is described as a "trendy taupe," but it is a little darker than taupe, but I would not consider it chocolate, though it should look very pretty with all the chocolate-inspired fall lines coming out, ex. Estee Lauder.
Get ready fingernails! You're getting a makeover this fall.

Just wanted to share some information that may help busy professionals caught up with work and who have less time to maintain their nails. You can try out gel nails which are now becoming a hot favorite as they are natural looking even without nail tips and the best way for nail enhancement. Also, if you are allergic to those strong smelling chemicals which you can experience with acrylic nails, then you should use gel nails as these are odorless.
However, when you are planning on gel nail application, make sure you approach a nail salon or a nail artist who is well versed with gel nails and is properly trained and mastered in gel applications. This will save you from problems that can arise with improper gel nail applications.
