Vaseline Cocoa Butter Vitalizing Gel Body Oil

So which is it - a gel or body oil? Well, it is both, and I like it! I found this today when I stopped at Wal-Mart to find some replacement cushions for my patio furniture, and immediately had to have it (sadly, I did not get any cushions). It says "new" on the bottle, but looks like maybe it came out some time last year, based on customer reviews at Amazon, however, it's new to me! I thought it had to be brand new because it just seems like summer-in-a-bottle. It has that rich, earthy smell of cocoa butter products, but I also think I caught a very slight whiff of a pretty floral note, like lilacs, which I love, and at the same time, it smells like yummy buttercream frosting! The key ingredients include Brazilian Nut Oil (supposed to be a great moisture barrier, keeping your skin hydrated, and possesses antioxidant properties) and Sweet Almond Oil (gives your skin a pretty glow and restores moisture). To be honest, I don't see cocoa butter listed in the ingredients anywhere! Interesting... Now, because of these two oils, along with mineral oil, it is, a little, shall we say, oily? And one Amazon review said that it could stain clothes, so be careful when applying. I am hoping that since it is a gel it will be less messy the other body oils, because while I like my Neutrogena Sesame Body Oil very much, sometimes the oil comes out too fast from the bottle and ends up dribbling onto the shower floor, wasting some of it. I am envisioning using it after shaving my legs, and having glossy bare skin to go with the pretty little sundresses I will be wearing in the hot weather, so I'm not minding the oiliness too much. It has soaked in since I've applied it, however, it wasn't instantaneous, but I like a sheen on my legs in the summer. Finally, the gel/oil also looks like a summer product to me because of the tiny little bubbles suspended in the gel - kinda looks like ginger ale! Or it could be that it reminds my of effervescent bubbles in a refreshing summer cocktail that I will be drinking out on my patio. That is, as soon as I find some darn cushions!!

Ingredients aside, I keep this bad boy in my makeup kit and have ALL my models use it before shoots...gives them a glistening body without look all slicked up...and the smell...heaven......

See, that's why I love buying and writing about products you can buy at drugstores and Wal-Mart and the like...you can get a great product at a low price and find out that it's used on models! How cool is that?! I love my splurge products, too, don't get me wrong, but it's always fun to find a beauty bargain.

Target Summer Beauty Bag

Head over to Target's Facebook page and try and nab yourself Target's Summer Beauty Bag.  I've gotten a couple bags from Target.  They usually come with a few (four-five) nice sized samples of brand named products.  The server can be very s-l-o-w, so have some patience.
