InStyle, April '08: Part II

The title of this post is kind of a misnomer, because what I'm writing about is actually found in the June 08 issue of InStyle. But, as it directly relates to the InStyle, April '08: Part I post, that's how it's gonna be. In the Part I post, I stated that I was going to write to InStyle because I HAD to know what Renee Zellweger's pretty, pretty, pretty lipcolor was. Well, they answered! However, they did not print my personal letter, but, rather, gave out the info in their Where Can I Find... section. Which, that's cool. They didn't have to print my letter. I mean, what I wanted was the info, right? I didn't need to see my name in black-and-white on the fine pages of InStyle magazine. No big deal. Ok, so that's the well-mannered gracious me talking. Now here's the real me: damn, damn, damn, why couldn't they have just printed my letter?! How cool would it have been for me to be able to tell all my buds - hey, there's my name in a major magazine. Now, I realize it would have just been for a letter, not an article that I wrote, or one that had been written about me (ok, that's a stre-e-e-tch, but this is my blog and I can write whatever I want, no matter how preposterous). But still. It would've been fabulous. Yes, indeedy, it would have.

ANYWAY...the answer to my lipcolor question from InStyle is as follows: Ms. Zellweger is wearing a Paula Dorf lip liner in Goddess with Laura Mercier Creme Lip Colour in Discretion. Based on the picture of the lipstick, either the cover shot of Renee was touched up and her lips made a little brighter, or the picture of the Laura Mercier lipstick is not color-corrected because it looks very nude/beige, while Renee's lips looked coral (to me at least - maybe I need to be color- corrected). And, as a matter of fact, I just checked out the LM website where the shade is described as beige-nude-creme, so I'm guessing Renee's lips were "coral-ized". Guess I'll have to make a trip to Nordstrom (oh, darn) to check out the Laura Mercier lip colour and see for myself just what it looks like in real life.

ahhh! that's so cool they answered your question! but I feel you it would've have been WAYYY cooler to have seen your name in print. I tried that once but it was actually an angry letter so I doubt they would've put that in lol...

Target Summer Beauty Bag

Head over to Target's Facebook page and try and nab yourself Target's Summer Beauty Bag.  I've gotten a couple bags from Target.  They usually come with a few (four-five) nice sized samples of brand named products.  The server can be very s-l-o-w, so have some patience.
